The Lawsons live in Johnson County after falling in love with the area thanks to the strong family values, best schools in the nation, rich arts and culture, and beautiful seasons. Their son attends Horizon Elementary and their fox hound rescue, Toby is one happy pup at the dog park. Jonathan is a copywriter and has a passion for road course racing. Angeliina enjoys gardening, knitting, and being outside with her family. The Lawsons will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary at their favorite place, Table Rock Lake in the fall.
Angeliina ran a campaign for state house in 2016 and supported her community through a clothing drive for SAFE Home domestic violence shelter, a book drive for JoCo Christmas Bureau, park clean up at Shawnee Mission Park, and a food drive for Harvesters. Her dedication to the community brought out the highest votes ever for a progressive candidate in District 39.
Angeliina worked in various clinical settings supporting children in foster care, families in private practice, along with inpatient and outpatient clinics. Trained in Evidence Based Clinical Practices she was a contributor to the evidence base practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for developmentally disabled students to receive services in their school IEPs.
